Dear Cities Reference Coordinator/Manager,

I am writing from California to tell you about the remarkable help and
support we received from Lavinia, one of your team members. Her efforts on
our behalf left my husband and me with a very positive impression of your
service and of Rome in general.

The night I was leaving, my husband, Rob, and I enjoyed dinner in a
restaurant nearby our apartment at 114 Via del Boschetta. While doing so,
somebody stole my bag which held my IPhone and a number of other items of
less value and importance. The IPhone was particularly important to us
because we had used it to take many photos that we knew would help us look
back upon and relive the wonderful experiences we enjoyed in Rome. It was
also a new model with a replacement value of over $800.

I left that night, while Rob stayed on for one more day. The next morning,
as he returned from a last excursion to one of your wonderful museums, he
found a note on the gate to the apartment and Lavinia who had driven over to
the apartment. It turned out that undercover police had arrested the guy
who stole my bag when he tried to repeat the trick later that same evening.
They found on him my IPhone and, cleverly, used the contact list to find the
name I had recorded under “Italy.” This way, they found Lavinia and,
through her, the apartment. Rob was running off to catch the train to the
airport and would have been unable to make it to the police station to
identify the Iphone had it not been for the wonderful help he received from
Lavinia. She helped him call the police, then drove him to the police
station and acted as a translator to help him confirm that he (I) was the
owner of the IPhone. She then proceeded to drive Rob to the Termini so he
could catch his train to the airport.


Rob and I are so grateful and impressed by Lavinia and want to tell you what
a wonderful host she was and how much of her time she gave us when we were
in need.

We will happily write about this- - or you can publish this note – on your
website. We will gladly act as a reference and will, needless to say, tell
all our friends about both the wonderfully helpful and generous Lavinia and
about the great apartment which we much enjoyed.

Highly recommended for two reasons.  One is the terrific deal on an apartment that was much nicer than we had dare hope, particularly since we spent twice as much on a dreadful hotel room last time we were in Rome.  The location is also ideal -- walking distance to the Colloseum and much more.  The kitchen facilities are fine -- I cooked one meal there and we had breakfast in the apartment every morning.  The air conditioning, in August, was a life saver -- and the apartment is very quiet and very safe.   As importantly, the help we received from CitiesReference representative,  Lavinia Dragulin was outstanding.  On the last night there, my bag was stolen at a restaurant.  The police actually recovered my IPhone (the only really important item in there) later the same night when the thief was attempting a repeat performance at another restaurant.  They then -- also great kudos to the Italian detectives -- found Lavinia in my address book under "Italy, Lavinia" and contacted her.   The next morning, Lavinia came to the apartment and drove my husband (I flew out the night I lost the bag) to the police and translated for him as he provided evidence that the IPhone was mine.   Lavinia then drove Rob, now in a great hurry to catch his plane, to the main train station so he could make the flight.  

We look back at this trip feeling so fortunate to have chosen such a great agency with terrific local representatives and, of course, to have gotten such a great deal.

What a wonderful surprise!  The apartment was terrific.  Elevator, so luggage was no problem; cross-ventilation was so good we did not need the air conditioning.  Walking around noisy Rome made us appreciate so much the quiet we enjoyed in the apartment.  So many restaurants in the area, great take-away shops, over a dozen grocery stores.  And, as others have said, easy walking to the metro and to the sights of Rome.
  Yes, the kitchen could use some more items - so, we bought a number and left them there for you new renters to us and for us to use when we return. We also created and left a few pages of info in English about stores, transportation, restaurants, sights.  Hope it helps non-Italian speakers with their Rome experience.
  We did meet the owner,  who was such a lovely, kind man.  And, Lavinia, the go-to person for assistance from the rental agency was so helpful.
  This is one apartment where the owner and the agency truly care about their business.  We will love coming back again to this apartment when we return to Rome!

Świetny apartament za bardzo rozsądną cenę. Bardzo dobrze wyposażony w urządzenia codziennego użytku. Wszystko, co konieczne do krótkiego pobytu lub wakacji jest dostępne, tzn. kuchnia z wyposażeniem, łazienka z prysznicem i pralką, lodówka i klimatyzacja. Świetna lokalizacja w samym centrum starego Rzymu, 10 min. wolnym spacerem do Colloseum, 5 min. do metra i dostęp do sklepów na tej samej ulicy. Rewelacyjny kontakt z właścicielką Ms. Ludvinią. Zdecydowanie polecam i sam ponownie zamierzam zatrzymać się właśnie tam w Rzymie.

Best apartment for a very reasonable price. Very well equipped with appliances. Everything you need for a short stay or holiday is available, ie, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower and washing machine, refrigerator and air conditioning. Great location in the heart of old Rome, 10 min. slow walk to the Colosseum, 5 minutes to subway and access to shops on the same street. Love the contact with the owner Ms. Lavinia. I would definitely recommend, and if I came again I'm going to stay right there in Rome.

The apartment is conveniently close to the Coliseum (less than 10mn walk) and to the Metro station Cavour which can get us to other interest areas (churches, museum, stores,...) in a jiffy.
It is close to good restaurants and markets.  The apartment is clean, well kept and quiet.  The neighborhood is safe. We enjoyed our stay at Rome very much and do recommend this place.  It is ideal for 3 of us.

This is a great apartment in a fantastic location.very clean and walking distance from the tourist spots and transport.I agree that the kitchen utensils are basic and a english BBC?CNN news programme would have been welcome but these are picky points.Great bed and linen.

We loved this location- we loved the comfortable bed. I wanted to tick excellent for the apartment but the poor quality of cutlery + lack of utensils was dissappointing- Cable would be great if it had BBC news or CNN.

Well furnihed, very nice and silent appartment, ideal for short term stays to study or to spend some leisure time in Rome. It is very close to metro line B and only walking distance away from the main tourist destinations within the old Rome.
