Its location is ideal. The apartment is half a block away from a Metro station and two blocks from the regional train station. We took the train from the Fiumicino airport. There are also plenty of restaurants and grocery stores in the neighborhood.
The owners were really nice and waited for us for over two hours at the apt because our luggage came in a different flight.
It's a new house and is furnished with taste and style!
The apartment is perfect and in a wonderful location, just steps away from the bridge leading to the Vatican. If you are looking for a nice place in the middle of Tourist attractions
this is a place for you.
Piazza Navona is just around the corner
It was really nice, the Vatican was just 5 minutes walk away and the underground and busses were nearby too. We had absolutely no problem to get to everywhere, there were plenty of places to eat and buy food... The only thin: the weather, it was so hot! But it wasn't the apartment's fault, of course ;-) Don't think about it, if you visit Rome, come to an apartment in St Peter!!
The apartment is based in a network of lovely narrow, pebble stone streets, with plenty of restaurants and bars.
The accommodation is quite small - roughly 12ftx10ft - with a mezzanine bedroom which would challenge anyone tall - and the photos didn't really indicate this. So really if you just want a base it's ideal, but if you want to spend any time in it or cook, you probably would need somewhere bigger. Very comfortable bed. Excellent, strong WiFi.
The apartment was very clean, and Enzo met us and was very helpful and friendly
Laura was a perfect hosts and so helpful. She arranged a ride for us from the airport, which was a big help. She took time to sit down with us with a map to discuss which daily itineraries might be the most fun and do-able, and she also helped us to figure out how to navigate the public transportation system for our trip to Cinque Terre. Her restaurant recommendations were terrific, too!
The apartment is cozy and clean. It is an open studio-style apartment with a partition for the bed area. It also has a separate kitchenette. The apartment is on the second floor of an old building. The stairs are a little tricky in that the stairwell is quite dark, but there are lights you can turn on to get up and down the stairs.
In all, I wholeheartedly recommend this lovely apartment and hope to return again sometime!
It is awkwardly laid out, with the washing machine only accessible through the cramped kitchen. The kitchen itself is not fully equipped and could use attention. Why not include a kettle, toaster and spatula, for example?
The key holder was late for the initial appointment, and was abrupt and rude when she did arrive. "Now you must give me the money!" she announced, and when I turned over a larger amount than owed, no change was offered.
All in all, you can do better in this neighbourhood. I rented a different apartment later and was more satisfied.
It was fine at this time of year, but I imagine the interior bedroom could get stuffy and hot in summer.
All in all, I recommend this apartment.
Its a truly unique space, with the most extraordinary character and features. Waking up to see St Peter's in the distance felt very special, and we would never tire of looking through that amazing oval window to see the rooftops and terraces that suround the apartment. The location couldn't be better for seeing central Rome, being almost next door to Piazza Navona and a short walk from many other historic momuments and places to visit.
We fell in love with this very special place and would return every year if we could!
We didn't cook but the kitchen was seemed very well stocked. There were plenty of extra blankets and tons of books, maps, DVDs on the bookshelves.
Two small negatives: the wifi was unreliable and one of the twin beds was a bit uncomfortable.
We absolutely adored the neighborhood, and there's an endless number of restaurants, shops, bars and cafes right outside the door.
Finally, I can't say enough about how nice it was to work with Lune and Cities Reference. Every email and question was answered promptly and kindly, and I will absolutely be using them again for future rentals. Thanks so much for making it easy and pleasant!
Other than that, the flat is pretty good for a couple travelling in Rome. It's small but well equipped (the kitchen is really good), the location is nice, we enjoyed Trastevere a lot. There's a little café at the corner of the street next to the mini market which offers good cheap breakfast, it's a neighborhood gem! The price was unbeatable at the time we rented it.
One downside of the area is that it can be a bit loud at night and the insulation isn't perfect, it can be a bit hard to sleep perfectly.
We arrived late (after midnight) and found the extra fee (50€) a bit steep, especially since it not clearly defined beforehand.
Maybe it'd also be nice to provide detailed directions to find the flat, it can be hard the first time.
We're sorry to read this but we are not aware of any problem with the power circuit! We'll immediately look into it.
Yep, I confirm, late arrivals are charged as as per terms and conditions accepted at the moment of booking, 20 euro after 8,30pm, 30 euro after 10,30pm and 50 euro after midnight. Mind you, neither the owner or the agency take one dime of it, it goes to the person performing the check in.
The apartment is on Via Garibaldi, you'll hardly find a Roman that won't know where it is, never mind google map ;) we do provide you with the precise address and the phone number of the key holder in case you need help.
This is ancient Rome at its best, it's easy to reach, practical and beautiful. Yes, it's lively. But many visitors take that as a plus.
Follow up: We've looked into the electricity problem you mention. In the apartment there is a limit of use of 3KW. If you use at the same time air conditioning, hot water heater, hairdryer and washing machine, yes, I confirm that the circuit will flip and you'll have to take off one appliance and then turn it on again. I care to stress that with the money you were paying per day that kind of energy use will push our revenue below the break even and force us to charge higher prices to the following travelers. Please be consciuos of the energy use, for the environment and to keep our prices 'unbeatable'!
Close to train, trams and busses.
Tornero sicuramente per Pasqua.
The place is amazing! Located about a 1 minute walk
to Saint Angel Castle and a few steps to coffee shops,
high end shopping, and many restaurants.
You can reach all the major sites in Rome with ease either by foot or metro. The place is best suited for 2 guest,
the water heater is very good and the bed is very comfortable.
The kitchen is very clean and simple, a sink, cook top and fridge. Alessandro gave us some tips on the area and restaurants.
I'd definitely come back!
Apartament is large and comfortable, maybe kitchen needs some improvements but it was okay.
We are family of 3 adults and we loved our Roman Holiday and we would stay there again.
As promised please find below our comments :
The flat in Rome was very comfortable, clean and decorated with taste. It's quiteness was specially appreciated to rest after tiring days of visits in the crowd of tourists. The apartment is as central as you can get, close by the Vatican, subway stations, several restaurants and small supermarkets.
The availability and the kindness of Francesco was very estimated
We fully recommend this apartment
Ariel and Sylviane
In ogni caso sara' verificato
We were staying with our baby and it was perfect with the baby cot that we asked for.
It was equiped with everything we needed.
The Free wifi was good.
The location was great near super markets and stores and sites.
The elevator is small for a medium baby stroller.
St. Peter and Vatican museums 10 minutes either by taxi or bus.
Subway is also 10 minutes walk.
We do not agree with our Canadian friends, the house, given the dimensions of Rome is definitely very close to the centre and roman population is not so terrible by the way, come on !! Everybody is very friendly and helpful.
The house is very comfortable, clean and agreeable.
VERY POSITIVE IMPRESSION AND PLEASENT STAY!!
