Colosseum and historical ruins ancient Roman Forum only 15 min walking from home.
Just get out from the front door and enter the subway station "Vittorio Emanuele" (few feet from the door!). Subway is really cheap 1,50 €, and allows you to reach every important point of the city centre, i.e.: Piazza di Spagna in 5 minutes, Vatican in 9 minutes, the Lateran 2 minutes, etc.
In the neighborhood you can also find all kinds of service: ATM machine, chemistry, restaurants, shops, coffee bar, local market, supermarket, bank etc.
You are in the center of Rome in a picturesque multi-ethnic neighborhood with beautiful historic buildings beginning century. There are a few steps for the Colosseum, the Domus Aurea, the Cathedral of Santa Maria Maggiore and the Fori Imperiali are all within walking distance in 10 minutes. In addition to cultural sites I recommend a walk in the nearby district Monti neighborhood where you can find many bars and typical restaurants to have dinner or have a drink. If you want to cook at home will find the best fresh produce in the large local market covered less than 50 meters from home.

A really comfortable appartment and a warm and personal welcome. The location is really central with most sites in walking distance yet the building was quiet and peaceful. Shops and a nearby market made self-catering easy and there were plenty of places to eat well. Although this is just a one bed appartment, our family of five did not feel cramped.

Susanna, the owner, met us at the train station and walked us to her apartment. It was large, VERY clean, and had all the comforts. It is very centrally located within blocks of the main train station, metro, and I shopped at the local farmers market each morning for VERY fresh produce.
Though the apartment has a small cot for a fifth person it really is designed for a child or very small adult.
Overall I would rent Susanna's apartment in the future and recommend others to do so as well.

Everything was great about the apartment from the moment I walked in. Wide and comfortable rooms, really quiet but at the same time located a short distance from all the sights, its a perfect location for checking the area out. Cozy as a five-stars hotel but definitely cheaper! I am going to stay here again, no doubt!

Susanna was a wonderful hostest. Her apartment is lovely and well furnished. She provided many thoughtful touches for visitors including maps and information regarding Rome. The apartment is well located to the Metro and is only a short distance from Rome Termini Station.I would strongly recommend her apartment to anyone!
