Apartment Owner's Notes and Description
We are a french-italian family and we live in the same buiding. We will receive you at your arrival and we will try to make your stay the most pleasant. The apartment is incredibly quiet (in a very central and lively area) and bright. The area is very safe, you can walk even by night without problems. The building is an ancient aristocratic "palazzo".
The flat, just renewed, can sleep two adults and 1-2 kids. It is a studio, little but very comfortable, perfect also for long stay. We don't recommend you to rent it for more than 2 adults (and 1-3 childrens).
We can provide you with children's items like stroller, high chair, and baby bed.
We will be glad to give you al the informations you need about the area and the activities in Rome (for adults and childrens).
Kind regards, Martina

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE APARTMENT HAS NO LIFT (2ND FLOOR) AND THAT THE SHOWER IS A LITTLE SMALL FOR A VERY TALL PERSON.

Rome is an open museum. If you look past the rheams of tourists that clogg the cobbled streets, the beauty and history of this baroque masterpiece is freely available for all to embrace. If you love art, every church is a gallery, every piazza, an archetectural feast. Sculpture abounds. It was indeed a thrill to unlock the portone, and enter the stairwell of this apartment.... 50 or so steps to my door. With so many places to eat , I didn't use the adequate cooking facilities. The studio was a quiet space to rest.
The location is fantastic for exploring central Rome. It is an easy walk to the Vatican, piazza Novana, Campo di Fiori, Trastevere, Piazza di Venezia, the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps............ A few minutes in one direction finds you at The Pantheon, for coffee in the morning , and The Tevere in the opposite direction, for a walk along along it's tree-lined boundry.
I was reluctant to leave and could recommend this studio.

The apartment was great, very modern, clean in an old building with plenty of character.  The location in Rome is very central to all main tourist attactions, being at short walking distance from Piazza Navona, the Spanish Steps and the Pantheon.  I quite enjoyed its quietness and the nice morning sun coming in.  There is a supermarket nearby, and although the apartment does not not have a washing machine, there is a laundromat in the vicinity.  All in all we really enjoyed our stay there.

Mooi schoon appartement.

We were 2 adults travelling and used the sofa bed as the second bed. Check in very easy. Location Fantastic. WIFI good. Hints re local shops for food and resturants was very useful and helped alot. The shower is very small and a large person would find it difficult. 53 stairs to apartment but not a problem day to day just a bit of a nuisence with luggage. - do not dismiss apartment for this. The apartment is a little tired but new cooking utensils would improve the experience plus clean linen for longer stays - we spent 8 days here and no new linen. Maybe we needed to ask not sure. We loved staying here as you felt very safe and comfortable and like it was your own place.. Owner lives in building which is handy if you need anything (we didnt). Would stay again no problem as the rate was very good value.
Owner Comments: Dear Kandi,
thank you for your message and for your suggestions about how to improve the comfort of my apartment. Normally I use to change linen every week, so I did not think to change for you as you was in the apartment 8 days. Of course, next time please ask me for everything! I live in the same building and, as I told you at your arrival, I can provide you (almost) everything you need!
I will write on the apartment's description that the shower is small.
About the stairs: 2 floors in Rome is quite normal, and in the historical centre most of the buildings don't have lift. My building is a XVI century palazzo (this is why he is so tired...!) and it is impossible to put an elevator.
So if you like sun and quiet you need to walk up some stairs!

We had a great vacation in Rome also thanks to our this wonderful appartment in the city centre in a nice and quite area. It's only about 5 minutes to Via del Corso, the best shopping area in town. The spanish steps, Piazza del Popolo, Piazza Navona and the Pantheon is also super close to the appartment. The appartment was clean and very well maintained, we really loved it and will definitvely return next time we visit Rome!

This was our first time renting an apartment as part of a vacation and the experience was great. Making the reservation was quick and easy, and check in on arrival was very simple. Our flight arrived late, so we did not get there until past 9:00 pm, but this was not a problem because the unit owner also lives in the building. This was an added comfort, in case some thing went wrong, but nothing did. The apartment itself was accurately described and very close to all the major sites. It was also surprisingly quiet, so sleeping with the windows open was a pleasure. There is a grocery store just a couple blocks away which has fresh fruits and vegetables, but there are many fantastic places to eat on the streets surrounding the apartment. The owner provided a list of local shops which was very helpful the first couple of days until we got to know the area.

Couldn't have been more happy with our stay in Rome recently!  This in my mind was the perfect location, we were able to walk to everything we wanted to see and do  There is not one negative I can say about the apartment..  I would most definitly stay here again on our next trip to Rome!

Everything was perfect. We came with our 11 month son and received everything we asked - baby cot, high seat, bathtub and even food processor. Apartment is perfectly located in the heart of Rome and it is really quiet there. We like our staying there very much and plan to come back. The only, very small, incovenience is the fact of second floor without the lift, but this is normal, I presume, in Rome.

Lovely apartment with plenty of space for two people, and the location is fantastic. Great neighbourhood close to attractions, but quiet at night. Lots of good eating places within walking distance - owner made good recommendations for places that are genuine and not touristy. Bakery just a block away is fantastic. Owner very friendly and helpful. Well-equipped modern kitchen. The facilities are modern but the building itself is old and a bit rustic, but that adds to the charm. My only negative is the shower cubicle is a little cramped for a tall person. Overall excellent though. We'll definitely stay here next time we are in Rome.

We stayed at Martina's cozy apartment in Rome in late April 2012. It is conveniently located near Via del Corso which is home to perhaps the most refined boutiques and shops in Rome. Yet, the apartment is tucked away away from traffic and noise, overlooking an historic buildingi. The apartment is impecably clean and conveniently equiped with a full kitchen and utensils. A comfortable double bed is cozily made up in a loft overlooking the spacious living room. There is wifi to keep you connected and even a lcd tv with many dvd movies, though you probably will be out and about so much, you'll (hopefully) never have time to watch. There are many enjoyable restaurants nearby and most of the major sites are a brisk walk away, or an easy bus ride. Martina's apartment is an excellent value in a part of Rome that has many pricey hotels. When you stay there you feel that you have your own personal pied a tierre in the city. thanks Martina!

Apartment is brilliant: larger than you expect, brighter too. And it is located very close to Piazza Navona and much good center city stuff.  And Martina an accomodating landlady who will rush to meet you.

The apartment on Via Pallacorda was great for our visit to Rome.  The location is walking distance from most of the tourist attractions and many great restaurants and bars, in a fascinating neighborhood and two blocks from the Tiber.   (Cars are not an option for visitors to the Historical Center of Rome).
The apartment is very comfortably furnished.  The bedroom and kitchen were much larger than we expected from the photos on the website.  There was plenty of space for four of us - two sixty-somethings and and two twenty-somethings, and all our gear.
We hope to return to Rome soon and would love to stay there again.

Merci.

Stayed for several weeks in January by myself while doing some research in Rome.    Location is ideal. Quiet, safe neighborhood.  Plenty of shops and restaurants, but away from the heavy tourist areas.  Owner lives in the building and was kind enough to help immediately with resetting the wireless connection and some minor electrical challenges.  The apartment is several flights up.  Only the bedroom has an external view. Living room and kitchen have skyights.  Didn't find these to be major deficiencies since I was out each day. I would stay here again.

This apartment is an excellent choice for those who value LOCATION. Close to many historic sites (within minutes -walking distance), and having access to the metro and bus, once can enjoy Rome's best offerings, as well as grocery stores and best restaurants. The litle kitchen is outfitted for any necessary cooking, and the two plus rooms, allow guests to spread out, use the internet, or watch television. Unless one has difficulty with stairs (this is up on 2nd floor), or needs the luxary of room service and fresh linens every day, this apartment is a reasonable, convenient find. The owner is very helpful with information and adressing the guests' needs.
