I cannot say enough great things about not only the apartment, but the location in Rome, neighborhood and mostly the hostess Stella. The apartment is even more beautiful in person than in the pictures, you cannot go wrong with this choice of place to stay. You literally walk out the front door and turn to your left and can see the colliseum just blocks away. The neighborhood has many nice little market stores, and one amazing restaurant nearby. I wish I could remember the same of it, but it sits on a corner, and is ALWAYS busy. Their food, service and prices are amazing there. Stella was more than we could have imagined for a host, she kept in touch the entire time, had her mom cook us a wonderful italian meal, answered all our questions and recommended many places to stay. She took care of us for the months prior to the trip, and during our entire stay.

This is apartment is wonderful. A very nice space to call home for the week. You can walk to most of the major sites from here and the metro stop is very close.  We enjoyed the neighborhood and all of its restaurants.   Stella was an amazing host.  She was available whenever we had a question and she was very helpful giving us many pointers about the sites of Rome.  She made sure our stay in Rome was perfect.

What a wonderful oasis from the chaos & excitement of Rome. The apartment is amazing, a wonderful blend of history & modern convenience. And the meet & greet service offered by Stella, together with the delicious pasta cooked by her mother & delivered personally by Stella was such a treat. We loved our stay here, a highlight of our visit to Rome.

Lovely apartment and the owners could not of been nicer.  The location is perfect for seeing Rome.
I will recommend this apartment to all of my family and friends.  Absolutely perfect!

This apartment is great because it is close to everything.  Stella was so welcoming and helpful when we first arrived, and got us set up to have a great week.   The thing about this apartment is that some of the apartment itself is made up of 2nd century B.C. walls and arches... unbelievable.  The architect perfectly combines old with the new and I found myself constantly appreciating his creative vision the whole week we were there.  The best restaurant that we dined at: Hostaria's (which we discovered our last night there) was located a block from the apartment.  It was on Stella's recommendation list, and for very good reason.

This unique apartment was a fantastic base for our trip to Rome. Stella, the host, is very helpful and extremely welcoming. The apartment has a lovely feel with excellent facilities and the location is ideal, with metro stations on both lines within walking distance. The courtyard was lovely and the apartment was nice and quiet. We really appreciated all the little extra touches, like the snacks and wine waiting for us and all the help Stella gave with choosing places to go and restaurant recommendations - Li Rioni was excellent (but fully booked after 8.30). We would definitely visit this apartment again. Thanks Stella!

This apartment in Rome was an absolute delight with a wonderful host
The photographs do not do it justice, its styling and quality of fittings made this a wonderful way to finish off our 4 week European holiday. The history in the apartment added to the ambinece of its location 300 metres from the Colosseum.
Our host Stella was extraordinarliy helpful prior to and at arrival with a delightful package from her mother of mouth watering Italian biscuits.
The are numerous quality resturants nearby to choose from if you are in the area for lunch or dinner and small shops and supermarkets for those needing to stock up.
The apartment has all the features required for a short or medium stay.
Stella has ample quality Rome guides and maps in the apartment to help plan out yur stay.so no need to carry your own to Rome.
Highly recommended

We had a beautifull time in Rome,
the appartment is as nice as shown in the pictures here and it is only a short footwalk to the colosseum. Although it is located in the city center, the appartment is quiet and you can sleep well. Stella is a nice and friendly host, so we rated the appartment five stars.

What a wonderful week in Rome!  The apartment was perfect, plenty of room for me and husband and when our collage age son joined us, the pull out sofa was totally comfortable and roomy for him. Just as the pictures show, the design, finishes and functionality of the space is truly impressive. Location was also great, with basically a walk through the forums to get home from city center.  As others have mentioned! Stella is amazing!!! The apartment had every basic you could think of plus home made cookies from her Mom, coffee, tea, bottled water etc, etc. Absolutely nothing was a bother for Stella and she answered emails immediately.  Sheeven offered to do our laundry since we were continuing our holiday for another week!!  The highlight was her mom's homemade pasta with meat sauce - the best we ever had, no exaggeration!  Our only regret was that we left earlier than originally planned so we weren't able to say goodbye and receive the Easter egg she had for our son.  Thank you Stellla!!!!

This is a beautiful, historic apartment in Rome, tastefully and thoughtfully decorated, and with all the necessary amenities. I was attracted to the architecture of the place and intriqued by its sense of antiquity. I had all of that, plus all the modern conveniences, such as shower, stove, oven, hair dryer, etc. The owner/caretaker, Stella, is extremely gracious and kind -- she brought me home made cookies and fresh, handmade, fettucine with pesto! They were delicious! Stella also is very knowledgeable about the city of Rome and Roman architecture and suggested to me a detailed itinerary of sights which included many gems which are off the beaten track. She was also constantly available throughout the duration of my stay, and checked in with me to see if I needed anything -- I didn't, though, because everything was perfect. The apartment was clean, comfortable, aesthetic, and safe, and it is locacted on a quiet stretch of a street that leads toward a string of cafes and the Colosseum. The metro and buses are nearby, and there was a fresh produce stand open every morning on the next street over, so I could buy what I wanted and cook it at the apartment. I highly recommend this apartment and I would certainly stay here again.

There's nothing but great things about this place: great location in Rome, great neighborhood, unique (and very nice) decor, and a very helpful and most pleasant host. Highly recommended. We will definitely stay here the next time we're in Rome.

What a wonderful surprise!! The pictures and description in the internet do not do this apartment justice.   The setting in Rome is idyllic -- with the entrance nestled behind tall potted plants in the inner courtyard. The apartment is a fascinating combination of ancient architecture and modern furnishings and is very tastefully decorated, clean and cozy!   It was also very quiet and private. The owner, Stella went out of her way to make sure that we had everything we needed. She provided us with restaurant and site-seeing recommendations and kept in touch with us during our stay. We could not imagine a better location for visiting  Rome we will definitely come back!

This apatment in Rome was beautiful. Perfect for 2. Within 10 minutes walk to either A or B metro line, was perfect base to explore Rome from, but not as crowded as other areas. With great restaurants in the area, and little markets just up the way, it was very convienent to eat in or out.

Stella, the manager was terrific and an excellect english speaker. She met us at the apartment when we arrived and helped get us acclimated with the area and left her number in case we might need anything.

All in all, a great base in Rome. Would highly recommend to anyone, epecially a couple. We would not hesitate to stay again.

Someone had previously posted, and I wholeheartedly agree, that this apartment is even more wonderful than the photos. It is absolutely impeccable - very pretty and well appointed with a lovely little courtyard. And the location in Rome is perfect too. Just down the street from the Colesseum, taxis, restaurants, and walking distance to most of the major sites. The owner, Stella, was very helpful and welcoming. Simply perfect!

We stayed in the apartment in Rome, San Giovanni in Laterano, from Sept 24 to Oct 1. This apartment is in a wonderful location for sightseeing in Rome. There is a bus stop right outside the door and you can see the Colosseum located just down the street where there is a metro stop. The apartment is beautiful and comfortable. It is a split level with the large bedroom and shower up above. Some of the walls have incorporated old Roman walls. Our hostess, Stella, and her sister met us at the door and gave us lots of information. We called her several times during the week for info and she always responded very fast. The apartment was well stocked with many amenities including guide books, CD's, bottled water and especially some "goodies" and sweets for breakfast. A really special treat was the homemade pasta Stella's Mother had made for us for our first meal. The apartment is in a courtyard so it is separated from the street and is very quiet. It quickly became our home for the week. The price was quite reasonable and far cheaper than seven nights in a equivalent hotel suite. My wife and I highly recommend this rental apartment.

We stayed at Stella's apartment for the first leg of our honeymoon in Rome.  Both my wife and I love history and architecture.  Stella's apartment has both!  She was a very gracious host, even leaving a bottle of champagne in the fridge.  The apartment is close to the Colesseum yet a courtyard separates the apartment from the street, making it nice and quiet.  The only thing we regret is not being able to stay there longer.  When we return to Rome, we will definitely stay here again!  Thanks Stella!

A beautiful little apartment in a great location in Rome right by the Colosseum.  Our host, Stella, was great and even brought us her mom's homemade pasta and pesto sauce one day!  Everything was in walking distance and great restaurants very close by.  We would most certainly stay there again!

My husband and I made this lovely apartment our home base for our 5 night/6 day stay in Italy. The owner, Stella, was absolutely wonderful. She booked a car for us from the airport and she and her mother greeted us when we arrived. The apartment was well stocked, complete with a bottle of champagne!

Not only did she recommend great restaurants in the area, she also came one night to deliver a homemade dinner prepared by her mother complete with dessert! It was by far the best meal we ate in Rome (and there was stiff competition). She also arranged a taxi for us to get to Termini when we left Rome for Florence. Basically, we did not have to worry about a thing.

Not only was Stella great, but the apartment itself was perfect. It is very comfortably furnished and beautifully decorated - as lovely in real life as in the photos. An interior private courtyard really sets you back from the street noise and it was easy to forget that we were in the heart of Rome, as it was so quiet at night.

Though close to the Coliseum, the neighborhood loses the tourist vibe just a few blocks from the Coliseum and feels more like a place where everyday Romans live. We really loved that. The neighborhood restaurants within a few blocks were all filled with locals and the food was great.

Easy walk to the Coliseum/Pantheon as well as San Giovanni in Laterano - in my opinion the most beautiful church in Rome (yes, more beautiful than St. Peter's!). We also walked easily to the Pantheon and Piazza Novana. Coliseum metro stop is just a 10 minute walk away.

I have already recommended this apartment to friends planning trips to Italy and would not hesitate to stay here again myself.

This is a beautiful apartment in a great location in Rome, approximately a 5-10 minute walk to the coloseum, and Roman Forum/Palatine hill, and a slightly longer walk (20-30min) or short metro ride to trevi foutine/Pantheon and Vatican. The apartment is also close the bus and metro stations, if you want to travel to sites farther from the city center.  Stella was a great host, and gave us many great recomendations for place to eat while in the Eternal City (particularly Antico Arco & Dino e Tony).  This apartment is a great price and great location, my wife & I definitely enjoyed our stay here.  Thank you Stella for having us at your apartment.

A beautiful, architecturally stunning apartment, convenient to transportation and a pleasure to return to after a long day of sightseeing.Having a small kitchen for coffee or meals you pick up on the way home makes the stay more like living in Rome. The owner was so gracious and helpful that we felt we had a friend to call on during our stay. Hated to leave.

I insistantly recommend to look the video about the apartment  registered professionally. Even if you not choose to stay in Roma you'll check the ancient Roma odour possible to receive.
Everything is really tue and when entering you introduce in the ROMA epoh but fully and comfortably designed. You've found everything to live. Warm helpful owners make all the positive recomendations about around.
easy to reach from Fumicino (40-50 euro), 3 minutes walk to St Giovanni in Laterano, 5 minutes to Colosseo, 10 minutes to M Colosseo with bag.

Wonderful apartment. Looks good in the photos but that doesn't quite do it justice - it's really gorgeous inside. The area is very safe, no problems walking back at night. You can see the Colosseum from outside the front door! I can't recommend this place enough, and will definitely be back next time I'm in Rome.

Great location, wonderful hosts, and a delightful apartment.   I'd absolutely stay there again.   The apartment is well set up with most everything (needs a microwave though) and clean.  Stella takes excellent care of guests.   I can't say enough nice things about this place and the location.

Beautiful apartment! Absolutely charming in a very central location. Stella prepared the apartment perfectly: immaculate condition, coffee, wine, and pastries made by her grandmother. We were only saddened by the fact that our stay was so short. I would highly recommend this lovely apartment.

The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. They were waiting for us as we arrived from the airport to show us into the apartment and ensure our comfort. We were given info about Rome's "ins and outs", buses, grocery shopping and nearby restaurants. The room was extremely comfortable and awe-inspiring to someone who has never seen real roman ruins! The apt's architect designed an amazing restoration of ancient roman walls throughout the space. It was jaw droppingly fantastic. It has no windows because of it's orginal structure, but it will create unforgetable Rome memories for a life time!

My wife and I stayed in this very private and secure apartment, for 3 days and it was very quiet and had all the conveniences we needed.  The owner was wonderful and emailed with us and met us on arrival and departure and was very helpful.   We could see the Roman Colliseum as soon as we came out the door and walking to restaurants, cafes and events was very easy.
Thanks for a wonderful stay.  Alex, Ottawa, Canada

We were very happy with this lovely apartment with kitchen & air conditioning and built into a rock wall with one wall in bathroom from 300 BC
Yet decorated in a very lovely up-dated way and very clean - close to all main attractions and metro -restaurants & groceries
Would definitely go back again!

We thoroughly enjoyed out stay at this apartment. It was our first try at renting for a vacation, and we would gladly go back to this unit. It is small, but well fitted out and comfortable. The welcome by the owner after the long flight was terrific! The location is close to the colosseum, and very convenient once you learn the bus routes and metro connections, and there is a bus stop just outside the door.Any quiestions that we had were quickly handled. The internet wifi worked well and was available 24/7. There is a small safe available, if you feel that you need it.
Things to note: 1. There is no microwave, but other cooking works well. 2. The fridge is smaller than we would normally be used to.

What a perfect place to stay in Rome! We stayed for 8 nights, and I wish we stayed longer. We felt that we were sleeping in a museum. Place is gorgeous, old and modern. Location is perfect. 3 blocks away from the coliseum and metro station. Local restaurants around with affordable prices. Highly recommend lucci trattoria. It's for locals and not a tourist trap, with affordable prices. Stella was extremely nice and sent emails to us to make sure we were doing okay. She even offered to take us out to pubs. There is wifi which works perfectly. She had a bottle of champaign for us. We have stayed in many vacation apartments around the world and this one is by far the best one.

We loved our stay in Rome and the apartment was in a great location. Everything we needed was available for our 5 day stay. Stella was a great help during our stay!

Great location, in the same street you find: the Colosseum, the gladiator houses and arena, the church st. Clemente with an underground basilica and two roman houses and the former palace of the pope. There are restaurants and bars, a bakery and two small supermarkets, fresh fruit and vegetables around the corner. A bank next door.

The appartment is elegant and quiet, we slept really well.
The owner is really nice and very, very helpful. She contacted me immediatly after the booking and helped organizing transportation from the airport and back. She speaks English very well.
We enjoyed the stay very much.

Italian cable TV. Audio installation with CD's, nice musik. And some bottels of fresh water, cake and coffee and tea for breakfast. Shampoo and showergel in the bathroom. There was really everything you could think of! Even alcoholic drinks to taste real italian liquor :-)
A really good choice for a visit to Rome.

This is a beautifully decorated, well equiped apartment with an incredible ambience. It artisically combines the ancient original walls (which are really amazing) with a modern compatibility.  Staying there I felt like I'd been transported back to ancient Rome with all the brick arches, and marble floors. It's also very quiet (which is luxury in Rome!) and private.  The owners are incredibly nice and easy to work with.  And the location is very convenient. I would definitely stay here again.

Thank you Stella, and thank you Massimo!

This apartment was everything! Perfect situation just beside Colosseum, walking distance to every place we wanted to visit. There was supermarket and some very good restaurants in the neigborhood. And busstop just by the door.

The apartment was beautifull and there was everything one could need (except a clock =)) , even some alcohol (wiskey, rom, grappa...) and candels.

We enjoied this apartment very much and recommend it to everyone!

JA SUOMEKSI:

Aivan huippuasunto!

Yksinkertaisesti UPEA ASUNTO: SUOSITTELEMME KAIKILLE!
