Die Wohnung hat kein Tageslicht und kein Fenster zum Öffnen und somit ist ein Lüften der Räume nicht möglich. Daher ist sie stickig und es riecht leider sehr muffig. Der Kellerraum (Schlafzimmer) ist unbewohnbar. Dort (natürlich auch kein Fenster) stinkt es nach Urin und Kanal. Wir haben mit 4 Personen die Wohnung bewohnt und alle 4 im Wohnbereich geschlafen. Allerdings sind diese beide Schlafsofas "in die Jahre gekommen", riechen ebenfalls muffig und sind sehr unbequem. Wir haben in der Wohnung nur geschlafen, geduscht und gefrühstückt. Dies war sehr schade, den wir hatten uns aus der Beschreibung und der Wohnung mehr versprochen. Die Lage der Wohnung ist traumhaft - aber nunmal leider nicht bewohnbar.

The apartment was very convenient and comfortable for the three of us.  The decor was lovely and exactly as pictured in the photos.  A little noisy with traffic but not bad.  When we arrived it felt damp and there was a musty smell but we left the door open for the evening and sprayed under the kitchen sink with disinfectant and then it seemed fine after that.  The WiFi is very good and the fluorescent lights in the window make it look like sunshine even if there is not much natural light coming in the window.  We appreciated Paola's efforts in locating the apartment and the owner making it available on short notice.

On the plus side, the location is wonderful with many good restaurants right at hand,  the owner/representative very nice and helpful, the internet connection is great.  The apartment's location in the historic center is good -- there are many good restaurants close at hand.

However, the negatives are really negative:  the apartment is very dark. There is no natural light beyond  a very tiny window above a plaster wall housing florescent lights (attached to the internet, so they need to be on.). Because it's ground floor and just around the corner from a trafficed street, it can be noisy. The bedroom (which is downstairs) has no window and so is pitch black when no lights are on. So when you wake up in the morning, it feels like the middle of the night - it's very disorienting.
The downstairs is also very damp.  The sheets are damp and clothing kept down there becomes damp.
We moved upstairs to the pull out couch which was marginally better, but still the lack of natural light is a real downer.
Finally, I arrived late because of a flight delay, and didn't make it into Rome until 1:30am. Although I called to alert to this, when I got into the city, I was told I couldn't move in until the next morning and had to get a hotel for the night - even though I had paid for the arrival night.

We stayed here for New Year's. The apartment is a good sized, but as it's on the ground floor and basement it is very very damp. The entire time we stayed there, our towels were not dry, the sheets were damp and our clothing became damp. This made it feel dirty even when it was not. That said, it's an excellent location (right near the Castel San Angelo, not really as close to Navona as it's advertised). The high speed wireless is very good, and the owners were kind (if not so organized when we arrived: didn't tell us how to work the heat, how to check out, how to use internet, etc). Also several lights were out in the apartment, which made getting to the downstairs bedroom a bit tricky. We stayed a long time (9 days). For a shorter stay I suspect that the dampness would not be as bothersome.

Lejligheden lå helt centralt i Rom. Den var let at komme til med offentlige transport. Selve lejligheden var ok. I køkkenet var det svært at tilberede bare en lille smule mad idet der var kun en kogeplade der virkede og det var svært at have el. kedel tændt samtidig. I øvrigt gik den også i stykker på andendagen. Soveværelse var Ok. Badeværelse var Ok Stue OK. Køkkenet manglede noget mere strøm.

The apartment was located within walking distance from everything. The only negative thing was that the bedroom was 17 steps down but the hide-a-bed was comfortable. The owner was wonderful!!! He and his wife answered any questions we asked.

The location is excellent, everything is within walking distance. Beds are comfortable, including fold out couch. Kitchen is small but workable. WIFI works great. Bedroom is seventeen steps down, so if you have problems w/stairs this may be an issue. However, my Mom has issues w/this so she slept in the fold out which was fine. The landlord Fabio is very nice and responsive as is the company who manages this rental. Prior to renting I had quite a few questions which were always answered quickly by Paola at the agency. I would rent this apartment again w/out a doubt. I do recommend if you call a taxi to give them an address nearby as they insist Vicolo di S. Celso does not exist, one even hung up on me and told me to call back when I knew where I was. That's when I began giving an address on Via Panico.

Propre, bien situé, grand, confortable. Un tout petit bémol, le matin, nous aurions aimé mangé des oeufs, mais il n'y avait pas de palette pour tourner les oeufs.

gourgeous appartment in the very heart of Rome, luxury furniture and with everything you may need! Even free internet access wireless! I highly recommend this place. My family and me felt really at home and the position is so convenient you can walk anywhere from there! No need to take a taxi or pubblic trasportation. We will be back pretty soon!
