Welcome to my flat in Via Giulia, an exclusive penthouse with a gorgeous roof terrace were my family has been welcoming special guests for years. From painters to sculptors, actors, singers and orchestra directors, many illustrious artists have chosen the quite and the elegance of this place to relax or work in Rome. One of the friends of my father that stayed in this flat was a naïf painter and wanted to leave a subtle a fresco painting, as a sign of his gratitude. Take a minute to follow its humorous story on the walls of the living room. I am therefore very pleased that you decided to have a taste of this place's life and I wish you a lovely time with us.
We tried to make the flat as warm and comfortable as possible, hoping that you will enjoy it and will feel at home too, even if far away from yours. We hope you'll enjoy all the antique furniture, the objects and the paintings that have with my family and this flat for a long time and please take care they need as if they were yours.
Don't hesitate to let us know, should you have any suggestion or if you believe we forgot anything. It'll be a pleasure to listen to you and you'll feel more at home too.
Finally, enjoy your stay but never forget that Rome is fascinating and waiting for you out there.
Looking forward to meet you in person...

Massimo, the owner, warmly greeted us with a bottle of wine, and a willingess to orient us upon our arrival. He also kindly carried our luggage up the five floors to the apartment, so renters not equipped for such a daily climb should keep this in mind. But for those welcoming such exercise, the stairs certainly will improve fitness!

Our recent visit to Rome was one of the best trips we have ever taken and part of this is due to our decision to stay at Roman Reference's Apartment #176. It was the absolute perfect backdrop against which to begin and end our days. We chose the apartment because it met our key criteria (king size bed, secure wi-fi, independent heating and cooling, and a rooftop terrace). What we could not know until we arrived was a) how absolutely comfortable the apartment is and b) that the location on the historic and beautiful Via Guilia is ideal. All the the major sites are within walking distance (we do like to walk) but the Via Guilia is just enough removed from the major tourist activity so that it is a quiet street and we slept very soundly - even with the windows wide open. Finally, Massimo is a wonderful landlord, quickly responsive and full of helpful advice and suggestions. We would recommend this apartment to anyone and hope to return soon.
This is the second year I've stayed in the Via Giulia flat- and it was just as wonderful this year as last. It's very comfortable and has all the amenities one could want- my favorite is the Braun American coffee maker in the kitchen. The roof terrace is a lovely spot for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. Via Guilia is a charming street, within walking distance to most places one would want to go and near numerous bus stops for trips a little farther afield. The flat owner, Massimo is a gracious host and very helpful. I loved staying there and hope to return again next year.
Extremely welcoming and helpful owner, thanks!
We will return to Roma, and I would definitely rent this apartment again. Good luck Massimo, on the terrace renovation. We look forward to seeing the finished kitchen when we return.

Bref , un appartement à conseiller!
The Via Giulia, in my opinion, is the best address for a tourist in Rome. Access to markets, restaurants, wine bars, tourist attractions is unbeaten. Mass transit is there if you need it. The apartment is on the fourth floor - no elevator. you can't have everything.
Deb and I look forward to returning.
I just wanted you to know that the apartment on Via Giulia was great. Comfortable, well appointed, and convenient. Massimo, the landlord, was very helpful. Thanks for your help.
Just a quick note to say how much we liked the
apartment on Via Guilia. It is very well situated,
charming, and comfortable. Having an apartment rather
than a hotel room was a particularly good choice for
us given that it also provided a comfortable place to
wait out some of the rainy weather. But rain or sun,
Rome is always entrancing. We will try to stay there
again the next time we visit Rome. Thank you for your
help in organizing the rental for us. In the
meantime, I will leave a positive review of the
apartment and your service on Trip Advisor.
