We did enjoy this apartment.  Maria & her husband were helpful in overcoming initial problems with the hot water & air conditioning. Washing machine, good size fridge, cooktop & oven. The lighting is a bit sparse. The location is very convenient to the Termini & the local Metro stop is just around the corner. There is a bar directly across the way which stays open until 2am with most people gathering outside. It was not too bothersome but good to know beforehand. Bed was 2 twins together with no footboard which was fine for us tall people. We'd certainly stay here again.

Appartement trés agreable, et parfaitement situé pour visiter Rome. A cinq minutes du Colisée, et à coté de la bouche de Métro Cavour. Le descriptif sur le site est trés conforme à la réalité. Nous le conseillons vivement.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Rome, notamment grâce à l'appartement qui était vraiment bien.
Super balade dans le centre historique après une bonne nuit;

The apartment was ideally located, only 2 minutes from the Cavour Metro stop, and with shops, restaurants and pubs nearby, it is also only 10-15 minute walk to the Colosseum, it made an ideal base,
My only complaint is that it didn’t have an electric kettle so I had to light the gas cooker every time I wanted tea or coffee!
I would stay there again if i was visiting Rome

We enjoyed our stay very much. The apartment was clean and very well equipped.
Shopping for food was good with small general shops and the metro
station situated on the via Urbana which runs parallel to via degli
Zingari. You couldn't wish for a better placing for a visit to Rome. We
have stayed previously at one of your apartments on Urbana and would
prefer to use that one again if we come back the reason being that
as visitors of more mature years we found the constant chattering of
customers, I think they were obliged to come outside to smoke their
cigarettes, at the Libreria directly across from us, rather annoying
as it went on sometimes until the early hours of the morning. All in
all though we had a most enjoyable stay and if the fates allow will
certainly use your services again with confidence. Yours sincerely

The apartment was clean, convenient and quiet. I felt very secure and will definitely make every effort to rent the same apartment each year when I visit Rome.

We stayed here almost one week during July and it was excellent. The flat is very close to Colosseum, Foro Romano and Mercati Traianei and the center is just at walking distance. In the area there is a wine bar (just on the other side of the street, a bit noisy on Fridays), a gelateria and some excellent restaurants (Trattoria Al Tettarello was our favourite!). The flat is very big and has everything one might need. The staff was kind and helpful. Just a perfetc place to stay for your Vacanze Romane!!

This was a very good apartment. Excellently situated and well provisioned, it was very comfortable and secure. Perhaps the lighting could have been better, but all told we have no real criticisms of the apartment itself. The man who met us was very helpful. The only drawback was the noise from the libreria across the road.

A real Roman get-away

This apartment is well-located in Rome, very close to the Cavour metro station (one stop from Rome Termini), and 10 minutes walk to the Colosseum. It is in a buzzy area, with many well-priced restaurants, small food shops and bars nearby, but with the feel of genuine Roman everyday life. We spent a week there.

The apartment is on the 1st floor, (with a lift for baggage), and is quite spacious. The kitchen is small but adequate (we cooked several meals there). The wifi worked very well.

It is homely rather than luxurious, but we found it clean, spacious, comfortable, convenient and well-priced – what more could you want?

We had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday with this property as our base.  It was well located, near the colosseum and many great restaurants and gelateries.  The air con helped us cool down in the afternoon heat and the facitlities were all in excellent working order.

However, the fridge smelled terribly.  Whenever we opened the fridge, the whole property smelled bad.  Clearly it had not been cleaned prior to our arrival.  This was unfortunate as it meant we did not want to use the fridge for fresh produce.

Also, the sofa bed sagged terribly and needed to be supported underneath in order to sleep comfortably.

Overall we were satisfied, but it could have been better.

Simple furnishings but spotlessly clean and very spacious and comfortable and all that was needed for resting at night. Fabulous location with plenty of nearby choice for eating, ranging from local snack bar to full service restaurants and wine bars or do it yourself in the appartment.

The apartment is as photographed - spacious, contains all the essentials and a great location. however it could do with freshening up (painting). Therre is a small wine bar across the street, which can be noisy however luckily I had some earplugs so got a great nights sleep then.

Die Wohnung ist ganz in Ordnung, mit den eifachen und nötigsten Sachen ausgestaltet, genug Platz, liegt im Zentrum, 10 min. zu Fuß bis Colosseum.
Minus ein Stern:
1.gegenüber der Wohnung befindet sich ein lebhaftes Cafe und an manchen Nächten war es zimlich laut .
2.die Bettwäsche und Tücher waren alle sauber und frisch, leider die Schlafdecke war mit fremden Haaren und anderen Spuren bedeckt, aber wenn man die Augen schließt, dann sieht man das nicht mehr :))
Die Wohnung kann ich empfehlen!

Lots of good things -- the area, heat, hot water, mostly quiet.  A couple of suggestions.  When travelers arrive in a strange city, they don't bring any perishables.  While there was a little body soap and a roll ot toilet paper, there were no paper towels, paper napkins, dishwashing liquid, or washer detergent.  The apartment could also use kitchen towels and glasses that are not for either drinking beer or wine.

This is a good location, 5 minutes from Cavour metro, and about 10-15minutes walk to colosseum. Enzo who checked us in was very very good, professional and informative.I would definitely recommend this place.

we had a wonderful week vacation in Rome beginning of February.The location is great:in the very centre only 5 minutes walking from Coliseum and from the historical zone of Imperial forum. There is plenty of restaurants,cafes,and antiques and craftsmen shops, and the area is very trendy and with a special atmosphere of "old Rome". We had a very pleasant impression at our arrival: the apartament is really cosy, well furnished ,the kitchen is fully equipped and everything was very neat and clean. The staff at the office of Roman Reference is very friendly and reliable for any problem you may have. We really enjoyed our staying and we do hope to come back very soon.

I would like to briefly comment on the apartment which, in my view, offers an excellent solution for a couple or small family or small group of friends for an enjoyable stay in Rome. It is ideally located in the heart of the ancient city, in an area with lots of restaurants, shops and lively nightlife, at walking distance from some of the main monuments and sites of ancient Rome. The flat is fully equipped with all one can need for a short to medium to longer term stay. Bed linen, towels, plates and cups have recently been renovated. It definitely makes an ideal base for strolls in every part of the city, allowing also a pleasant walk back home in the evening amid people who spend their time sipping their drinks and chatting in the narrow streets of the old Suburra.

The location of the apartment was fantastic and within walking distance of most attractions, especially the Colosseum.There are great shopping and eating places nearby such as in Piazza Madonna Dei Monti and on Via dei Serpenti and the area has a lively local feel about it. When we arrived, the keyholder was prompt, friendly and helpful. The apartment was tidy at first glance but upon further inspection of the kitchen and bathroom, these rooms were not very clean, including the kitchen benches, utensils, plates etc in the cupboards and the shelves in the fridge. The sheets and towels although clean, were old and worn.  The apartment was very spacious and we felt safe at all times.Roman Reference staff were extremely helpful and friendly both before and during our visit.
Manager Replies: Very sorry about the problems! Your rental was the first after a 2 years long rental the owner had taken therefore our management hadn't still cleaned the apartment, we were relying of the owner's service. From now on our professional service will take care of that and you won't be having these kind of problems. We have a professional laundry service that will take care of changing the sheets with clean ironed one, so no worries about that either! One little note: our office is across the street, if you have problems like these, just come and tell us, we'll fix it immediately.
Owner's reply: We would like to point out that in all these years nobody has ever complained about the cleaning and that we are always very careful to leave the apartment in the best condition to ensure that you will find the apartment clean and dust free.
