APARTMENT ROME- COLOSSEUM - VIA DEI CIANCALEONI- #120Set in the historic center of Rome, 2min. walk from the underground, right in-between the Colosseum and P.za Venezia, in one of the most beautiful and oldest Roman neighborhoods;
60sq.mts nice, quiet apartment, set on the ground floor and consists of:
ENTRANCE
with wardrobe and rocking chair;
LIVING ROOM
with full sofa bed, sofa, 1 armchair, tv/dvd-cd-mp3 player, kitchen corner and window on Via dei Ciancaleoni;
BEDROOM
with full bed, 1 bedside table, chest of drawers, bookshelves, fan;
KITCHEN CORNER
in living, with table and 4 chairs, electric stove and oven, microwave, electric kettle, toaster, food processor, refrigerator and freezer, cupboard, electric filter coffee, machine ventilation system and small window on Via dei Ciancaleoni;
BATHROOM
with bath tub/shower fix, bidet, washing machine, hair dryer and window on inner courtyard.
Independent heating, tv/dvd-cd-mp3 player, no phone, ground floor, fan, hair dryer, washing machine, iron and ironing board, microwave, food processor, baby cot. Monthly possible, discounts for 2 weeks or more.

Via dei Ciancaleoni is a small and quiet street,very typical, in the heart of Rione Monti, one of now increasingly rare areas of Rome which preserve intact the atmosphere and the charm and the old traditions.In addition to all the major stores and services, the area offers the possibility of a pleasant walk through the still numerous artisan shops.
Ciancaleoni apartment is located less than a minute walk from the subway station and is a strategic starting point to reach the monuments and major sights in Rome.
Upon entering the apartment you will find immediately the care and dedication that the owners bring to make your stay pleasant and comfortable.

Eine wirklich sehr zentral gelegene Wohnung im Herzen von Monti, dem aufstrebenden Stadtteil Roms.
Die Wohnung selbst war sehr sauber und für uns 4 (3 Erwachsene und ein Kleinkind) sehr ausreichend. Es gab sogar ein nagelneues Reisebett für die Kleine! Die Küche und das Bad sind klein, aber ebenfalls ausreichend. Leider war es sehr warm und die Wohnung bietet wenig Lüftungsmöglichkeiten.
Die Trattoria direkt nebendran bringt abends etwas Publikumsverkehr, der aber wirklich ab 23:00 deutlich abnimmt. Das Essen, v.a. die Pizzen, dort sind phänomenal, das sollte man sich nicht entgehen lassen!
Die zentrale Lage und das pulsierende Leben um die Wohnung sind absolute Pluspunkte. Wer Ruhe sucht, darf nicht im Zentrum von Rom Urlaub machen.
Die Vermieter waren herzlich und sehr bemüht.
Wir würden jederzeit wieder hinfahren.

Location: Excelent, not too far from the Colisseum and Termini, you can go walking everywhere.
There are a bar, tabachi, supermarket, etc close to the appartament.
The street is nice and there isn't too much noise at night, you can sleep very well.
Furniture and facilities are quite well, you can find all the things you need in the house.
Only a problem, the plugs, but it's not releveant because you have your adaptator.
We had a heatwave there, but there was enough fans in the rooms.
The owner is soo nice, she was there when we came and she explained everything.
I recomend you going there, if you want visit this marvelous city!

Un seul ventilateur pour tout l'appartement, qui fonctionne mal et fait beaucoup de bruit : nous avons eu très chaud ! et avons passé quelques mauvaises nuit à cause du bruit du ventilateur.

I just finished up a 7-week stint in Rome using this apartment. As most have said, it's in an excellent, central location on a fairly quiet street just 2 blocks from the Cavour Metro stop and 6 blocks or so from the Colosseum. It's fairly spacious for 2 (given Rome's standards), and can sleep up to 5. This makes it an excellent value for families or small groups. There's a small restaurant next door, so some occasional street noise at night, but usually it settles down by 10 or so. Either way, it really only affects those not sleeping in the Master Bedroom, which is more soundproof. The Roman Reference office is just a few steps away. I developed tremendous respect for hard-working Raffaella and Paola. They, along with Enzo, were consistenly gracious, delightfully hospitable, and tremendously helpful to work with. Really, the ONLY downside to this particular property is that it lacks on-site internet access. Renters can get free wi-fi at the office, or pay for it at a nearby internet cafe, but those aren't always the most comfortable or convenient of options, especially with longer-term rentals. For shorter stays, however, that may be less of an issue. Overall, I highly recommend it!

het appartement ligt op een fantastische locatie in het centrum van Rome. Een fijn buurtje met mooie winkeltjes en een prima restaurantje letterlijk naast de deur. Het appartement is niet heel luxe maar alles is aanwezig en schoon. Heeft ook een beetje weinig daglicht , maar dat kan in de zomer weer een voordeel zijn. Groot genoeg voor 4 personen. Een zeer aangenaam verblijf en een aanrader , zeker in deze tijd van het jaar.

So Convenient! Easy walk to all central historic Rome and metro, will get you in shape! Perfect for the 3 of us. As bright and spacious as it seems in the video. Residential area, friendly low-key. Not sure why anyone would book a hotel when such a lovely place is available! Let people know the steps outside are a gathering place in warm weather. If they go to sleep early it can get a little noisy. Thanks to the staff and owners at Roman Reference for our lovely apartment! Leslie Brian and Nik

HI! We just wanted to let you know that we enjoyed our stay in Rome, we loved the flat and the street it was on! Very nice sitting on the steps and having a glass of wine. Enzo was great at checking us in but seemed in a hurry and we had a few questions! Our only problem was getting a taxi at 5 in the morning to get us to the airport, we had to walk to the train station at 4:30 a.m. and catch a taxi there with our luggage. So renting flats is great but with no phone or taxi service it is very frustrating. Next time we may consider a cell phone for Europe. Again thank you very much for your patience with me in getting us there.

Excellent séjour. Appartement très bien situé, à deux pas du métro Cavour, dans le quartier des Monti. Tout peut même se faire à pied pour visiter Rome. Location très propre, spacieuse, bien équipée (micro-onde, mixer, cafetière, lave-linge, étendage...). Seul petit inconvénient : pas assez de pression dans la douche (petite réparation à prévoir) si bien qu'il faut du temps pour se rincer.

The location was great as in being close to everything. However, it was very noisy outside at night from people talking and workers doing construction in the early morning. It wasn't anything too terrible tho. The apartment was equipped with everything that we needed to cook a meal as the food in Rome can be quit expensive. I would defiantly suggest this apartment for a vacation as long as you don't mind a little noise. The great location made up for anything that may be negative and I would consider staying in this apartment again.

Très bel appartement! Il est très bien situé, à peine 2 minutes du métro cavour ! Bain assis donc un peu petit pour vraiment se relaxer après une journée de marche intensive dans cette superbe ville. Sinon, pour notre première fois dans un appart à Rome, nous ne retenons que du positif de celui-ci!

Quiet and well located, all in all clean, a little bit dark, but we were satisfied all over. The fridge was full with orange juice, water, champaign and cookies - very good!!! Just one negative remark: The books in the sleeping room are old and stinking. No one needs 20 year old geographic folders or telephone books! Thank you for all !!!

everything was exactly as it was represented. there were no surprises. Enzo was friendly and easy to reach. He made check in very quick and easy. Great location everything needed was on Via Cavour. The only problem was no air condition and only one fan. Unfortunately it was July and about 40degrees. We are used to air conditioning so even with the fan it seemed very warm to us. just more excuse to have gelatto and sit on a piazza in the evening. Thank you for making the trip to Rome so much fun!

1. Several lightbulbs in bathroom, lounge & bedroom not working 2. Need to put TV operating instructions in English - different to Australian operation 3. Shower head frequently fell out of (wrong) bracket on wall - very unsatisfactory when you come home tired and stiff from walking your beautiful city! 4. Only 3 wine glasses - there were 4 of us for 2 days! and no champagne glasses! 5. very comfortable bed! 6. Great location! Overall we will recommend it highly.

We do take a very good care of the apartment and we make everything for the guests to have a warm welcome, and everything in order.
At the moment there are more than 20 glasses, for both water and wine, althought they are often broken by clients and need to be costantly replaced.
All problems mentioned have been fixed.
We accept no blame concerning what you find not to be in order as you could have contacted the office for things to be arranged/replaced ( knowing that the office is only 1min away from the apartment) and especially when the keys were lost and found back on the street by the neighbor that came in the office to give them back.
The office went straight back to the apartment to check if nobody came and stole things, and they reported that the apartment was very very messy.
Still we thank you for your comments about things to be improved and will pay special attention to it.

We just checked in on Thursday of this week and are scheduled to be in this apartment for another week and a half. It is without a doubt the most disgusting place I have ever stayed. Paint and plaster pealing everywhere. Dirt outlines of where other posters were. Shower handpiece doesn't fit the holder. Internet access doesn't exist (I'm using portable hotspot). The "courtyard" seen from the bathroom is a dingy concrete space about 10 feet square. The only positive thing is that the location is good.<br /> <br /> Stay away from this hole at all costs! The pictures and description are deceptive.

Hi Brent, thank you for your feedback. I guess after meeting with you maybe you wouldn't be as harsh with us and our place. The wall has some humidity stains up on top, but as we saw with the handyman that can't be 'cleaned up' it must be repainted and we'll do that asap.
Our handyman fixed the rest right upon our meeting.
If you allow me a little remark it's somewhat harsh having one's property called 'disgusting' for this minor problems. You can read the rest of the reviews and see how you're likely the only one or almost so unhappy with the place and this should let you reconsider. This is one of the very cheapest apartments within a website trying to offer economical places, you pay less than the youth hostel down the road. We welcomed you with a bottle of whine and some pastries, we treated to coffie at the bar down the road.

Excellent. We enjoyed our stay so much. Thank you for providing such a well-equipped home-away-from-home (we added two coffee mugs to round out your kitchen). It was so nice to have food supplies waiting for us, especially the cake! We hope to be back, if the coins in the fountain work!
Suggestions:
-It would be a good idea to provide television instructions in writing.
-explain how to attach shower spray onto bracket
-add a third electrical adapter

The appartment is exactly as pictured. Excellent location! Enzo is very nice and helpful. The roman reference office is only a few meters away. Problems were taken care of immediately. Very good deal, totally recommend it.

Good price for fine located apartment. Great pizzerias, bakery and shop with vegatables nerbay. Close to the apartment you can find nice enoteca. Easy acces to metro and bus. Thank you for pleasant time in Rome.

es apartamento esta muy bien, perfectamente ubicado a dos minutos de la parada del metro de cavour y a 10 del coliseo y foro romano. esta muy bien equipado y la estancia en el fue realmente comoda. la persona que nos recibio fue agradable y nos trajo un detallito de bienvenida (panetone y espumanto) que nos parecio todo un detalle. si volvieramos a roma repetiriamos. mucha sgracias

Excellent location. Apartment is good for price but furniture is tired and worn. Couch can be slept on which was good as my teens don't like to sleep together. The area has a grocery shop fairly close and restaurants nearby that were good. Metro very close. Overall good value for the money.

Excellent location, very close to the historic centre. fantastic apartment - very clean, spacious..a luxury after backpacking for 3 months in hostels! Very friendly staff, we loved the personal touches - cake and wine upon arrival!!!The apartment was perfect. We would definitely use romanreference and stay here again.

This unit is located close to the historic centre. Within easy walking distance from the Colosseum, Palatine Hill, Roman Forums and Termini train station. The unit itself has all amenities including TV and great kitchen facilities. The unit is very clean and spacious, a great find!

The children and us absolutely loved everything about this apartment and about Rome.
Great location, only 5 min walk to the subway or 15 min walk to the Colloseum.
Nice little grocery shops and fruit store very close, only 5-10 min.walk.
Not to mention Ciri-Ciri pastry shop and icecream.
Very hospitable host; we had fresh flowers, wine and local pie waiting for us on the kitchen table.
We took the subway and train to the airport when we left, did not need to take the cab.
Hope that helps.

Thank you very much for the loving touches - having food and gifts there on arrival was very much appreciated. We were able to 'hit the ground running' from this great location. We felt this apartment was really good value for our money! Service - Excellent, Condition - Excellent, Postion - Excellent. .. and we had an awesome time

This apartment is great-- central, easy walk to all the sites, fabulous restaurants right down the street, and 5 minutes to the Colisseum. It was clean and had all the amenities you need. I would definitely stay here again.

Very good location in the city. Thanks for the free food and arrivals presents. No hot water in kitchen and seat on wc broken. MANAGEMENT'S REPLY:The toilet seat has been replaced and the hot water in the kitchen is now working fine.
