Accueil chaleureux et bien préparé avec fruits et boissons , alimentation variée permettant de débuter dans de bonnes condition
Sa localisation en centre ville de Rome nous a permis de visiter beaucoup de sites à pied
The apartment is a lovely little gem of a place!
Great location and within a walking distance from all the important monuments
Hope to have time to be back soon
But, the flat isn't very well looked after: the furniture ,the electrical appliances are very old or out of order. The sofa, the carpets aren't clean and the mattress that we discovered the last day of our stay was really filthy!
The owners should take more care of the place they rent for the benefit of their guests as marks of hospitability and respect.
We are sorry about the issue with the TV not picking up Italian channels, but that does not depend on us (owner of the apartment) but on the building. Access to the antenna on the roof is limited since you have to pass through a private property and that requires more time than the length of your stay.
We are going to look into the mattress problem asap. Frankly not aware of it, whatever stains you may have found must be very very recent. I care to stress that we use a professional service for the cleaning and this is the first time we get a complain on it. If you look at the previous comments below you'll notice on the contrary that many clients stressed how clean it was. Upon my question, a Roman Reference employee informally told me that you had also complained at another apartment you had rented through them previously that is professionally managed by a hotel company and had otherwise never gotten complains. I don't mean to diminish your complaints, on the contrary, I think this just shows the high standards you expect and deserve for the heavily discounted 34-euro/night x pax inclusive of all services, commissions and taxes that you paid.
Nevertheless feedbacks are precious to us because they nudge us to stay always alert and keep improving the service. We will immediately take this further to the cleaning company.
Thanks for the friendly contribution and we hope to work with you again in the future.
On arrival, immediatly we find a surprise.... a red wine bottle, mineral water, juice, cake, pasta and snacks (that's fantastic becouse we arrive at 22.00 pm and we are hungry!! : -) !!) thanks again Alessandro, you're a perfect owner! :-)
I will come back in July and recommend anyone to stay in this great apartment
Un apartamento nuevo, con todas las comodidades, céntrico y muy recomendable.
Mi opción de alojamiento para mis viajes a Roma
After a short ride from the train station the apartment owners met us at the apartment at the appointed time.
The owners are a very nice young couple who looked after us and explained the ins and outs of the aparment and also made available and additional key.
There was a change of towels half way through our stay of eight days which we appreciated.
The apartment was beautifully clean, well presented and there were lots of lovely fluffy towels. It looked exactly like the photos on the web site.
There were also a selection of guide books and information about attractions in Rome available. And the Wifi worked with no problems.
This is a very quite apartment and you do not hear any noise from neigbours.
The apartment is well equiped and is in a wonderful position to expore Rome from.
Piazza Costaguti is in the Ghetto area only a few blocks from the Campo Dei Fiori and the market. There are also plenty of bakeries and a supermarket for
for those who want to self cater. There are also lots of restuarants in the area including one right on the door step in Piazza Costaguti which we really enjoyed.
We enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment and would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay here.
It is a very special accommodation that I suggest to all the families who desire to feel at home in a foreign country. The area is pretty calm, especially during the evening. It's possible to easily find the typical Italian cafes or restaurants (we've eaten at the closer “Osteria dei Pontefici”: the "Amatriciana" pasta was fantastic!), but also an open-air market, a bank and a drugstore are at your fingertips. After three wonderful days, It has been hard for us returning home... I hope to come back here sooner or later!

The apartment itself is very comfortable. Has two separate bedrooms and huge living room. It is just excellent for visiting Rome!!
If you are considering this location for your stay, well do not hesitate, really. Furthermore the owner is very friendly and extremely helpful.
Ps. Iole, thank you once again for your help on last day!

The apartment is airy and has decent natural light -- there is a nice balcony from the master bedroom (no sweeping views though), and the kitchen is quite functional and equipped. The building is from the 1930s, and so it is somewhat austere from the outside, but this is made up for by the peace of the neighborhood and the nice interior.
In addition, we cannot say enough about the housekeeper, Denise -- she was amazing, working around our jet lagged schedule and keeping the place spotless, plus, on the last day, we were running late and were disorganized and her vigilance meant that we didn't leave behind some of our stuff in our hurry to get to the airport.
We hope to be back very soon!
Massimo, the owner, warmly greeted us with a bottle of wine, and a willingess to orient us upon our arrival. He also kindly carried our luggage up the five floors to the apartment, so renters not equipped for such a daily climb should keep this in mind. But for those welcoming such exercise, the stairs certainly will improve fitness!
The whole process although our first time with Roman Reference felt like a gamble at first, but was totally cool! Super easy and everything worked out as anticipated, Roman Reference was great with correspondence and transperancy of the process along with the aprtment owner and gentlemen who we picked the keys up off. definately recommmend this apartment. Made the end of our trip a delight after some disapointing interaction with car rental.. apartment 300 and RR renewed my faith that not everyone was out to rip me off.
Bravo and Grazie!!! RomanReference & apartment in Rome #300
The location in Rome was OK. It was not so far from the terminal station (10-15 minutes on foot), and in a quiet area.
The room was very clean, furnished enough, spacious for two people. We could recommend this apartment for couples.
I hope to see you again in Rome!!
Thank you for the 4 days that we spend in Rome.
The apartment is very well located, clean and well equipated.
Let see if we can come back soon.
Für drei Erwachsene ausreichend Platz, für vier wird es etwas eng.
Der Gang zur oberen Schlafnische über das Glasdach ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Gute Einrichtung. Empfehelenswert!
Very clean spacious apartment with useful info re local resaurants.
Only problem .....had to leave!!!!
He said us that the flat had been recently renovated, and we loved it even more (I like the smell of new things!). He also gave us a detailed (and useful!) explanation of the area and the city in general, and we discovered to be in the very heart of Rome: the Trastevere neighborhood is very special, rich in life and traditions, and full of restaurants, locales and shops. It was the ideal one for a young couple like us! It's also a strategic location, few minute walking from the city's most important attractions.
What about the apartment? Romantic, homey, clean and comfortable are four perfect adjectives to describe it. It lacks for anything and we felt at home. We had a memorable vacation, I couldn't be happier about my choice!
Distinti saluti Vito
Overall a great experience in Rome for our family of four. We learned where to shop for bakery goods, salami, and cheese so that our eating expenses were minimal. Some good, inexpensive family restaurants just around the corner. The apartment was very comfortable and fairly quiet (except for New Year's Eve!). Convienent to the metro--we went all over using a 1-week transportation pass.
Had some problems with showers running hot and cold, but this was a minor inconvenience. The owner speaks good English and was helpful to us.
1) The owner didn't verify that the internet connection was working before we arrived. Andy, Maria's nephew, really tried to help us to fix it and we acknowledge his effort, but we got internet after two days, since it was Christmas time. For people like us, without a working phone, the internet is really important.
2) Accidentally, we left our keys inside the apartment. When we called Maria, she immediately sent someone to help us for a 6 euro fee, which was more than fine. However, the person who arrived first asked for 50 euros and then, after looking at our expressions, he asked for "just" 20 euros. We didn’t know what to do, so we ended paying the 20 euros.
Again, if you travel in a less-busy time than Christmas and you don’t forget your keys, this apartment is the right choice for a great vacation in Rome. We would definitely repeat the experience.
Just two notes, internet was not in description when you booked and it had just been installed when you arrived so it needed some time to be connected, sorry about that.
We are terribly sorry about the confusion with the keys. Just to make things clear, the keyholder has right to 10euro for every extra trip to the apartment + 10 euro per hour there. Technically 20 euro is possibly right if he had to come up and stayed over sometime for help. We are going to inquire and make sure there will not be this kind of confusion again.
