This apartment has a great location in Rome - just some steps to Campo de Fiori! But in the same time it is noisy enough because a lot of tourists in this area - but there is no problem when the windows are closed. It is small - maximum for 3 persons, the decoration is modern and bright. Staying there could be very nice if all equipment would work (the air condition, iron and toaster were broken).

We loved this apartment. There were three of us: my mother, myself and my 11-year-old son and we fit perfectly. The apartment beds were both really comfortable and the bathroom a good size. The elevator was a bonus for my mum and for ease of bringing luggage up. But the best part of the apartment is the fabulous location. A stone's throw from Campo de' Fiori but in a really quiet location. You can walk to the Pantheon, the Piazza Navona, easy access to bus services to the Vatican, Termini and not a particularly long walk to the Foro Romano even. All of us really enjoyed the apartment and would highly recommend it to others.

We truly enjoyed our stay in the apartment. Spacious, well equipped, decorated in an arty and fun way - the grandchildren  just loved the blue bathroom! We LOVED the location  - in the middle of every Roman attraction, just a minute away from the gorgeous market at Campo dei Fiori and lots of good restaurants and walking distance to many sights. Loved the top terrace where we had our breakfast and where we relaxed after a long day of sightseeing. Indeed, we'll love to come back anytime!

Positiv:
- absolut geniale Lage mitten in Travestere, Rom

We loved the location. The apartment was central to all the sites in Rome which made walking possible.  We also walked to the train station which was a good  hike but doable.  It was also nice and quiet but only steps away if you wanted more activity as in the Campo Dei Fiori..
We were met at the apartment as arranged and the check in went smoothly.  We were not advised of the check out time which apparently was 10AM.  I suggest that this be posted on the back of the door or included in the initial information  recieved when the booking is confirmed. We had to leave the apartment two hours prior to our anticipated departure.
As previous reviews have stated this apartment requires a paint of coat.
We would stay at this apartment again.

If you are nervous about renting an apartment in Rome, don't be.  Amazing, completely remodeled apartment in a very safe, bustling area of Rome.  You are literally steps from Ponte Sisto and a very short walk to Camp Di Fiori.  There are excellent coffee shops, bakeries, restaurants, bars, take out food, small shops and grocery stores all within 100 yards of the apartment.  The area is a mecca for Americans and other English speaking tourists so language is not a barrier (there is a cafe around the corner near Ponte Sisto that serves a full American/English breakfast if you are missing your morning eggs). Longer, but very dooable walks to the Vatican and all the sites of the main tourist attractions of Rome -- without the overpriced expense of staying in the middle of all the attractions. Our longest walk was to the Collesium / Forum.  We even rented a scooter for two days (at a rental shop right around the corner from the apartment).

We loved the apartment.  All amenities are new.  The new washer/dryer was wonderful (we carried-on all our luggage for a 10 day trip!).  The wifi worked excellent and all our devices/computers connected giving us fast reliable internet access.  The kitchen has everything you could ever need to prepare fresh meals at your home away from home, which we did.  The apartment has tons of light and large windows that open onto a tiny piazza and running fountain on the street below.  (It seemed that everyone with a camera loves the location -- literally any time we looked out the window day or night someone was taking a picture of the buildings and the small piazza).  We had a few hot days so the air conditioning was key (there are new wall units in the main living area and the bedroom).

It is a big city so security is always a concern.  The aparment is guarded by a double key deadbolt on the ground floor and then a seperate steel security door on the second floor and then yet another door to your apartment.  There is also a steel safe inside the apartment.  Tons of light on the street and mostly tourists and locals wandering around at night.  We always felt safe entering and leaving and had many restful nights.

The owner and his staff are worth five stars alone.  All emails and phone calls were cordial and helpful.  The owner greated us upon arrival and his wonderful assitant showed us all the bells and whistles of the apartment.  When we arrived at the airport there was a cell issue making it hard to reach the key holder, but we called Roman Reference and the staff was wonderful to deal with.  This small glitch never slowed us down and the owner was waiting for us when we arrived.

Simply one of the most amazing trips of our life (it was our first wedding anniversary) and the apartment -- and its location -- were a big part of our wonderful experience in Rome.  If you are looking at 100s of apartments online (like we did) -- you can stop looking.  Rent this apartment, you will not be disappointed.

Location was excellent.  The terrace was the hightlight.
Although the apartment was clean...it could have been better.
The bathroom is very small.
The living room has only the sofa and there is no extra seating (as the picture shows).   It is not really a sitting area unless you want to read.  The TV was upstairs.
The smaller bedroom had an iron board.
The stove is very old.  We used it to make coffee.
The second bedroom was not made up....We then asked for linens...The linens were delivered but surprised when the linens were just left.  Not really an issue but expect ed that all the rooms would be made up prior to arrival.

If i can suggest that someone at cities reference review this property.  It is in a good location.  I was planning on renting for next year for one month but need to reconsider.

Hi Mary thanks a lot for your precious tips, we are going to investigate immediately. Our apologies for the second bedroom not made up, we were under the understanding that you were going to use only the master bedroom. Apologies the beds haven't been made when the extra sheets were delivered, we'll ensure this doesn't happen again.

Pros:  The location, the apartment is located near Cavour metro and at walking distance from Forum and Colosseum and in a busy and trendy street full of restaurants and bars.  There are supermarkets at Piaza Maria Magiori and nearby bakery and small convenience stores.  The size of kitchen/eaten/sofa area is OK and have good light as there 2 windowns with a view to the street. The wi-fi works well. The wooden floor and size of corridor is good. The kitchen has salt and sugar for you to use and there was a small bottle of oilve oil too.

Cons: Bathroom is small and the lenght of shower curtian is short and therefore water leak into the floor and you have to clean it at all time.  The shower does not hold steady in the hook so you have to have it on one hand and clean yourself with the other (useless).
If you want to cook the kitchen is badly equipped; the burners are slow and there is kettle but you need to use it in the gas cooker.  There no salad bolws, it has cheap utensils and low quality pans
The bed room is small and there is not natural light, if you come for more than 3/4 days you need to bring your own bedding and towel unless as they do not leave you a spare towels or bedding.  You can use the washing machine but then it may not dry during the day. The quality of the bedding (sheets and cover) and the pillows is poor. One of the chair is broken and has not been replaced it.

As the payment settlement is in cash, I suggest the owner needs to make an small invesment to improve the overall condition of the apartment to  make the stay of guests a more pleasant one

Superb location, quiet residential area (10 min. walk to the Coliseum and walking distance to most sites). Restaurants and grocery stores around. Beautiful, clean and well equipped apartment (Nespresso machine, etc.). Very welcoming and helpful host. She left champagne and cake for our anniversary and printed tickets for us. Stella made our stay very enjoyable in Rome. We would definitely stay there again!
only one negative aspect: the bed was not very comfortable.

The apartment is in a wonderful location within easy to reasonable walking distance to most of the major attractions in Rome.  It is up a flight of stairs. The apartment is very nicely furnished and is quite large. The largest bedroom is really more like a large suite while the other two (at the other end of the apartment) are much smaller and share a bathroom.  The kitchen is well equipted but a bit dark for serious cooking.  I think it would be great for a family or friends unconcerned by a large difference in the bedrooms.

I am going to give this apartment #132 at 222 Via Del Coronari in Rome, Italy a four star rating.
The Pros: The location was excellent. Within walking distance to every major site in the city of Rome. Within walking distance to metro in either direction. Buses close by and Taxi stand on the corner across street. Bakeries, cafes, wine bars, antique stores, clothing stores and Tabachi line the sides of the street and the surrounding area, not to mention Piazza Navona around the corner.. The supermarket is a 4 minute walk to buy groceries. Wine and Deli stores one minute walk. People in the building were nice and helpful. The apartment itself was clean. You had three garbage separations, organic, regular and recycle. They tell you where to put each one. They told me it had a lift to our floor and minimal steps and all that, held true.
The apartment had 1 bedroom with 2 single beds, 1 bedroom with double bed and bathroom, and pullout doublebed  in the living room with tv., dinette table for four and kitchen. The kitchen had a working sink,  small refrigerator, no freezer. 2 gas burner, 1 microwave, 2 tea kettle, expresso maker, all the dishes, pots silverware needed to cook. The living area had a stand to hang clothes , drawers in the bedroom. It also had a pack and play for a baby. Iron and small board. The one bathroom in the apartment that is in the double bed bedroom, had a magnified mirror, bidet, hair blower and washing machine, small one person shower. Plenty of hooks to dry towels or clothes. They had one air conditioner and 3 fans, only two worked. It was hot so we made good use of those. Every room had windows that faced a courtyard or side street. All windows had bars and locks, including the door and gate leading into this 21 apartment building. So It was safe and many people always walking up and down this famous street..

Cons: The facade of the building could use some power washing. But nothing compared to what was going on inside the building.  What we werent told when we booked was that there was construction work going on in the building right outside our apartment door, with scaffolding from the first floor to the roof of the building. It was scarey to see that it looked like our first  floor  apartment was being held up by metal braces attached to the scaffolding. The workers started work 7:30-8:00 am every morning and that is what we woke up to. They had lifts and ladders being used for pulling up tools and materials ,pulled up with pullies. It was an awful scarey site to see and hear. There were workers in the building that I even questioned to see if it was safe. There were workers digging outside the building with big machines. All this was unnerving.

There were three of us who rented the apartment, Me, my brother and my mom. So naturally we took the three different rooms, giving my 85 yr old mom the room with the one bathroom in it. My brother took the room with the twin beds and i took the sofa bed in the living room.  I couldnt find one extra sheet or pillowcase to make the bed. Eventually I took the one sheet from the twin bed to put over the pullout double bed. Of course it didnt fit, but it worked. I took the pillow too with the only other pillow case in the apartment.

I like to watch tv before I fall asleep, So the only two english channels were Aljezeer or Cnbc witch is business and stocks. With all the channels they had with cable, this was it for English.

My biggest complaints were that they only give you one set of towels containing lg, med and small. for each person for the week. The bathroom had shiney, shiney white tile on the floor, that was so slippery when wet,we needed to use towels so none of us would fall coming out of the shower, there were no mats.  I decided to wash my towels in the machine they had. Well, nothing is in english, my towels had detergent already on them, I couldnt get the machine to start.  I called Enzo and Raffaiella and Enzo came and started the machine. He had to know it would take at least 2 days for these towels to dry. Therefore, you would think they would have provided extra towels for this reason alone. I would never use a towel more than a few days. I used damp towels to dry myself. I mean, how much extra could that have cost to add a few more towels.

Next was, this is big. they give you one roll of toilet paper in the apartment for a one week stay? Absurd. I know it wasnt a hotel, but they could have provided toilet paper for 3 adults for one weeks use. There were no tissures, napkins or paper towels anywhere in the apartment. I didnt understand that.. I couldnt even clean the counter. They had one drop of dish detergent  left. , no garbage bags except for the organic bag for food garbage.

There is more than one lock on the door that I was never made of aware of that you use with your key. I am nervous person, I would have liked to have known that. I figured that out on my own.

They should provide Engish along with other language instructions on using the washing machine.

So all in all, to make this a five star apartment rental for Roman Reference and owner, all they would need to do is give you the necessities needed for a one week stay.  Extra linens, towels, paper towels, toilet paper, napkins, dish detergent , more english tv stations or a dvd player. A mat for the bathroom shower so no one falls. a kitchen garbage pail to put your garbage. So I think they were a little stingy in this area. Upon our leaving, we did leave toilet paper for the next arrivals.

I would recommend this apartment providing the owners provide you with the list of things specified above. Some of those are necessities and go without saying or mentioning.  Raffaella and Enzo were a pleasure to work with and I had no problem except for them leaving out the construction work that was going on. We should have been made aware. It was a once in a lifetime week with our mom. Her first time going abroad to her ancestral home in Italy at the age of 85. Beside this review, we had a wonderful time with my mom!!

A very nice apartment; there was a minor glitch at arrival time, the previous renters had not yet left and we had to wait several hours to be let in (after being awake all night in a cramped airplane seat!) but Maria, the person who was to let us in, was very helpful and apologetic.
Also, were charged additonal Euro 25 for extra sheets (They had put my daughter and me in the same bed!!). But a well equipped apartment (could use a few dinner plates and better instructions about using the TV), in a very good location. These problems were very minor and I would certainly rent this apartment again and recommend it to others.

Our second visit to this apartment was for its location. Via Urbana is a semi pedestrian street, quiet yet interesting mix of residential and business activity, with everything necessary close by. Many attractions within walking distance and the underground station at the bottom of the street. We could easily imagine living in this apartment. A good supply of books in several langiuages and CD's
The agent, Maria, responded quickly when needed, was always available. The apartment electrics are somewhat eccentric and could be updated, the hot water was sometimes temperamental, but nothing affected our stay and we would recommend this apartment to friends.

This was our first time in Rome, and first time renting an apartment in Europe, so have no basis of comparison, but would say the apartment was 5 stars for location in Rome (very near forum and colesseum). We walked almost everywhere from here.  Good restaurants nearby. Apartment is fully equipped but rooms are a bit small, loft floor is planked wood, feels a bit "cottagy". elevator is available for luggage, but it is on 4th floor so walking up stairs could be an issue for elderly.  We were there with 2 couples it was enough room as long, but not a lot of privacy.
